Born and raised in San Francisco since 1993, Hü carries forward a multigenerational legacy rooted in craft and community. Inspired by his grandfather, Pablito Gamit, who owned the legendary Gamit Barbershop on 46 Sixth Street, Hü inherited not only technical skill but also a deep commitment to service and connection.
After graduating from barber college in 2012, Hü set out to redefine what a modern grooming experience could be. By 2015, he founded YOÜ by Hü—a concept born from a desire to elevate the art of haircutting into an intentional, bespoke experience. Each session is a collaboration, designed to reveal the natural character of your hair and reflect the version of yourself you’re ready to step into.
With over a decade of mastery, Hü blends time‑honored technique with contemporary precision and artistry. His gallery on 76 Sixth Street is more than a barbershop—it’s a sanctuary for personal expression, human connection, and self‑care. Every service continues his grandfather’s legacy of pride, excellence, and community presence.
